How Carrot Cake Became Granola
The Story Behind Our New Carrot Cake Inspired Granola
You asked, and we listened
One of the things we love most about this community is how honest and thoughtful your feedback always is. So many of you have told us you’re on the lookout for a granola without fruit. And for some of you, no coconut either. We hear you. Sometimes, you just want the crunch without the chew, the sweetness without the sugar spike.
Where we started
At first, we thought we’d keep things simple. A clean, nourishing blend that felt familiar. Nutty, satisfying, high in protein, high in fibre, full of healthy fats, and as always, completely free from added sugar.
Simple is good, but this time, we felt like doing something a bit more fun. And so carrot cake inspired granola was born.
What we imagined
Warm spices, crunchy nuts, a little sweetness, but not too much. That comforting, nostalgic feeling, without the icing or the sugar crash.
Testing time
We sourced a beautiful freeze-dried carrot powder and started experimenting. The very first batch felt close, so we shared it with some of you, our wonderful crunch connoisseurs.
It honestly felt like waiting for Christmas morning to hear what you thought.
What you told us
Your feedback was thoughtful, detailed, and full of surprises:
• More spice
• More carrot
• Swap peanut butter for something gentler
• A touch of brightness
So we listened. We switched to almond butter. We added a little lemon. We turned up the cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
When we asked, Does the granola feel satisfying and filling after eating?
100 percent of you said yes. That was our green light.
The final blend
So here it is. Our Carrot Cake Inspired Granola. Crunchy and warming, nutty and nourishing, and yes, it really does have carrot cake vibes, but in a way your body will love just as much as your tastebuds.
It’s not completely fruit-free, we’ve used a little lemon, but it’s packed with real carrot, high in fibre, and contains no added sugar. A breakfast that’s bold, comforting, and full of goodness.
What’s next
We’re putting the final touches on the packaging. Of course, it had to be orange. Boxes are being printed and a few fun launch ideas are underway. We’re nearly there.
Thank you for coming on this crunchy journey with us. Whether you gave feedback, cheered us on, or simply got excited, this blend is for you.
And yes, something new is already brewing. It involves beetroot, silverbeet, and a little breakfast magic.
With love,
Liz x
